Here's what working together actually looks like - from first conversation to final images …
How it works
Before the shoot
We start with a conversation - about you, your purpose and what you need the images to achieve. Where will they be used? What do you want them to say? What style and tone fits your personality and your audience? Once I understand the brief properly we plan everything around it - location, style, timing, what to wear.
During the shoot
I'll guide you throughout - suggesting poses, adjusting the setting, keeping things relaxed and moving at a pace that works for you. You'll see images as we go so you're always involved in the direction and there are never any surprises. Most clients tell me they enjoy it considerably more than they expected to.
After the shoot
Proofs are typically delivered within a few days. You select your favourites and I complete the final edits to the highest standard. Prints and framing can be arranged if needed.
4 key questions
Where will your photos be seen?
LinkedIn, your website, a book cover, your showcase, a wall at home or in your office - each context needs a different approach. We'll make sure the images work well for exactly where they are needed.
What’s the right style and tone?
Do you envision a formal or casual shoot? Serious or playful? We'll agree what fits your personality, your purpose and your audience.
Whether you want a professional headshot or something more relaxed or quirky, together we’ll create images that reflect the tone and style you want.
Colour or black and white photography?
Both have their place. We'll decide together based on the mood of the session and the intended use.
And, of course, both options will be available later.
